Saturday 16/11 saw one departure and four arrivals but no cleaner as all were prepared. A dull but mild start at our Bolehill cottages near Bakewell (see link). After the cottage left Chris and I headed down to Bakewell. I cannot remember the last time I went to Bakewell on a Saturday (except for the Farmers Markets) to do some food shopping. It was quite busy I thought as I am used to midweek shopping but Chris didn’t think it was that busy. Back home and after coffee and cake (courtesy of the tea room at Over Haddon as a thank you for letting him do some metal detecting in our fields) I did the final checks in the cottages. Chris went down to the farm to install a new printer and after lunch he cleared the courtyard of leaves and hoovered the lawn. Hopefully this will be the last time this year. I also did a quick tidy up of the leaflets and put out the Christmas ones for Chatsworth and Haddon. All guests arriving on Saturday have been before, two arrived between 3 and 3.30 with the remaining two between 4.30 and 5pm and when each arrived we spent some time chatting with them. A bit of baking then a quiet evening in. This will be my last night in for a while so made sure my blogs were up to date. Sunday was a bit overcast with a few showers in the morning. Two departures and no arrivals so a day of personal paperwork and housework. In the evening we went down to Over Haddon for the latest film night. The film was the Quartet which I enjoyed.
