Over breakfast on Thursday we discussed what we could do for the day which weather wise was looking quite nice.  I’ll do the emails and bits and then we can go off somewhere I said.  Well the next thing we knew it was midday so we just ended up going down to Bakewell to get bits for the weekend with the dogs. We then did some jobs around the house. Friday was back to business with three cottages out and two back in.  One cleaner up.  First guests arrived about 3.30 and second ones about 6.30, they have been before. A bit of time to catch up with some accounts whilst waiting for guests as well as preparations for Saturday.  Saturday was a pleasant day of almost wall to wall sunshine at our dog friendly cottages.  Three cottages out with four back in and two cleaners up.  Apart from Chris having to clear a sluggish outside drain no problems encountered.  He used one of Andrews gloves that he uses when he has to do internal examinations of cows – I should have taken a picture of him with his pink plastic long glove!  For once none of the guests have been here before.  Guests arrived between 3.30 and 5.30 and I spent a little time finishing off the work on next years prices before sitting down for the evening.
