Monday was a fine day at our Bolehill Cottages near Bakewell (see here) with two departures and one arrival.  One cleaner up and handyman here too taking advantage of the fine weather to do some roof work as we like to check the roofs after winter.   A busy morning and time to do some more accounts after guests arrived at 3pm . In the evening we went to the Royal Oak at Hurdlow for a meal with some friends to celebrate a birthday. We haven’t eaten there for a while but we all enjoyed our meal.  Tuesday was a catch up day.  One departure and one arrival but cottage already cleaned.  Jobs in cottages including washing curtains and more accounts.  Guests arrived just after 3pm.  In the evening we went to Buxton to see Andy Kirkpatrick at the opera House.  He’s just back from a climbing trip to the Antarctica and he gave us an amusing and interesting talk on some of his recent climbs.  Wednesday was another catch up day with more jobs in cottages including crockery and planning work in Derwent.  One cleaner up to keep up with cleaning.  Spent some time on WI accounts and in the evening I went to Joanna’s for the monthly WI Committee meeting.
