August Bank Holiday weekend

img_1269_1Thursday 25th August was a quiet day at Bolehill.  One departure but no arrivals so it was a day of catching up on paperwork and jobs.  Although mild it was quite misty and wet.  In the evening I went to the final dancing session.  Summer returned on Friday with a warm sunny day.  Three departures and four arrivals and two cleaners here.  A busy morning but everything ready for guests arrivals.  Three of the arrivals have been here before so it was nice to catch up.  There was a lot of cow movement as cows were being taken across the road and brought back after pregnancy scanning.  A colourful sunset but got there too late to photograph it.  Saturday started fine and for me it was down to Bakewell first thing for the Farmers Market.  Three departures and four arrivals and two cleaners here with everything completed by lunchtime.  By mid morning it had started to rain and there were showers on and off for the rest of the afternoon with heavier rain in the evening.  Consequently Chris img_1252_1couldn’t cut the grass.  Two cottages here just after 3pm with the final two after 7pm, three have been before.  Sunday was a pleasant day and warm when the sun came out.  No arrivals or departures so my first Sunday off for ten weeks!  Had a relaxing day on the whole and spent time chatting to guests.  Monday was a glorious day.  Hard to believe it was a bank holiday but for us it was a busy day.  Five departures with two arrivals and one cleaner here.  Everything completed by lunchtime. Both cottages here by 4pm, one has been before and we enjoyed the warm evening sunshine with a BBQ.  A number of hot air balloons took off from Bakewell and I got a lovely shot (I think) of the late evening sky with plane trails.
