On 8th November after nearly 14 years at Bolehill Farm we said goodbye to guests, friends and neighbours and moved ten miles up the road to Buxton to begin life in the retirement lane!

The months leading up to our move were busy as business continued as usual and at the same time we started handing over to Dan and Fay, the new owners, and getting ready for our move into one of our rental properties that will serve as home until we find where we want to live.

Before our departure we managed to find time to visit Quarry Bank Mill and went down to the Derby Silk Mill to see the Poppies Weeping Window.  Summer was a bit of a washout with both the Y Not Festival and Bakewell Show becoming victims of wet weather.

I will continue to blog describing our lives as we adapt from working full time to a slower pace of life.  How long will that last?
