Another warm day forecast and the third Bank Holiday Sunday we have managed a walk. After taking the bottles down for recycling and picking up the paper we packed the rucksacks and headed for the dales. First across the fields to Over Haddon and down to Lathkill Dale then up to Meadow Grange Farm. This collection of farm buildings fascinates me but it is still a working farm. We picked up the path to Youlgreave and stopped for lunch before we got there. We passed through the village and down to Bradford Dale. This was busy with families making the most of the good weather. Just before Alport we found an ice cream van. A welcome sight! Along Lathkill Dale to Conksbury Bridge then back up to Over Haddon where we stopped at the Lathkill for a drink before the final leg back home. A quiet evening after a lovely day.
