Wednesday was our day off at our Bolehill cottages near Bakewell (see here). so we had to make a decision as to whether visit the Chatsworth Christmas market early in the morning or later in the afternoon. I opted for the latter so we had a quiet morning doing odd jobs. After lunch we loaded up the car to go to the recycling centre and managed to find room for the dogs. We also called in at the Peak Outlet Centre before reaching Chatsworth. The day had been dull and cool but it tried to brighten up by the time we got there. The coaches were starting to leave but it was still busy and we had plenty of room to wander around the stalls. I am sure there were more than last year but there was a wide range of goods for sale. Even had some roasted chestnuts. Yum. Rumour has it that next year it will be on for even longer! By the time we had also done the stables shops we had spent a couple of hours there and it was dark. On the way home we stopped at the farm shop to get dinner and as the marquee was up I also bought some goods for Christmas. Heavy bags and light wallet! Thursday was a bit brighter than forecast. First thing took the Shogun round to Sheldon for its MOT and back in time to wave goodbye to our two departures. No arrivals but one cleaner here. Chris spent some time sorting out a problem with the heating system and also gave the grass a final cut for the season, mainly to hoover up the last of the leaves. I did some paperwork and accounts. Later in the day I dropped Chris off to collect the Shogun and I went down to Bakewell to get some provisions for the weekend.
