Hot! Hot! Hot!

Just how we like it!  Made the most of the nice weather on Wednesday to start planting out my bedding plants and moving the spring tubs back to the green house area.  Many guests found it too hot to walk so made the most of the peace at out peak district cottages to relax.  In fact later in the afternoon a number of ladies, who hadn’t met before this week, were sitting in the courtyard enjoying a bottle of wine together.  One unifying aspect this week is the number of dogs at our dog friendly cottages.  Smudge has been in heaven with the number of treats he has been getting and we have a lovely photo taken by one of the guests.  In the evening we decided to go for a picnic at Lathkill Dale and was surprised how much water was in the river.  Unfortunately I forgot my camera.  A hot air balloon got the dogs excited and we stopped for a drink at the Lathkil before returning home.  Thursday saw one departure and one cleaner up.  Went to Bakewell to get some provisions and again spent some time in the garden.  With it being so nice we ate al fresco in the evening and a hot air balloon passed by.  On Friday I did some paper work and preparations for Saturday as well as putting up the hanging baskets.  Chris cut the grass and also helped bring the hooligans across from the farm.  A breeze kept the temperature pegged back but caught out one of my cleaners who got a little sunburnt working in her garden. Here are a few pictures from the last couple of days.
